In a striking blend of sport, culture, and innovation, New Balance took over East London’s creative scene for one electrifying night, celebrating the highly anticipated launch of the Furon v8 football boots.
The event, held at Protein Studios in Shoreditch, drew over 100 creators, tastemakers, and fans of the beautiful game for an immersive experience inspired by the energy and style of the new release.
The highlight of the evening was a compelling panel discussion headlined by Crystal Palace midfielder Ebere Eze. Hosted by respected cultural voice Mayowa Quadri, the conversation delved into Eze’s journey through football, the transformative power of sport, and the technological evolution behind the Furon v8.

Eze was joined on stage by his brother and Foundation partner Ikechi Eze, SEASON Zine founder Felicia Pennant, and New Balance designer Sherlyn Koh, who contributed insights into the collaborative process and creative thinking behind the boot’s design.
Beyond the panel, guests were offered a unique opportunity to participate in a bespoke boot fitting and personalisation session. This exclusive experience enabled players to walk away with a tailored pair of Furon v8 boots, reflecting both their on-pitch performance demands and individual sense of style.
The evening also served as the official debut of New Balance’s bold new ‘Energy Rush’ pack. The latest Furon v8 iteration comes in an eye-catching ‘passion fruit, silver metallic and hot mango’ colourway — a visual representation of the boot’s dynamic performance DNA.
